Age of Empires

  1. Host clicks Host (not Solo). Wait until Win95 is up and the top bar shows Copy join link.
  2. Host copies that link and sends it to a friend.
  3. Friend clicks Join on the hub and pastes the link (or the numeric id).
  4. At the network-password prompt, username is AOE and password is empty — click OK (and OK again if it asks to confirm).
  5. Double-click AOE on the desktop if the game does not start itself. Wait until Age of Empires is on the main menu.
  6. Inside the game: Multiplayer → name → IPX Connection For DirectPlay. Not TCP/IP or Serial.

Heroes III

VCMI wasm. Hub Play opens /homm3/ — data is preloaded from this host (first load ~260MB), no upload screen. Saves stay in this browser. Add ?menu=1 only for the old DOS.Zone launcher.

Fieldrunners

HTML5 build. Play opens it on this same host.

OpenTTD

Native wasm (not DOSBox). Play opens /openttd/ with OpenGFX/OpenSFX/OpenMSX. First load is large (~180MB) then the player caches it. In-game multiplayer needs OpenTTD servers we do not run here — solo only.

3D Pinball Space Cadet

k4zmu2a wasm, not DOSBox. Play opens /spacecadet/. Z and / (or mouse) for flippers, Space for plunger, F2 new game.

Disney's Aladdin

Needs owned bundles/aladdin.jsdos (js-dos Studio, backend dosbox) from a legal copy. Tile stays “bundle missing” until that file is there. Disney/Virgin commercial — hub does not download DOS.Zone’s .jsdos.

Counter-Strike 1.6

Not hosted here. Play opens DOS.Zone CS 1.6 lobby in a new tab. Their servers, their MP hub.

Retro Online (MM6, Half-Life, Worms 2, NFS III)

Not hosted here. Those tiles open Retro Online in a new tab: Might and Magic VI, Half-Life, Worms 2, NFS III. Commercial Win9x games on their DOSBox-X wasm stack. This hub does not copy their disk images or game files.

js-dos Host/Join must be used before the emulator starts. If you already launched Solo, go back and click Host or Join.
